Go West.... to Sonoma Valley & The Mendocino Coast in CA

At the end of september, Betsy and I visited Paul & Jane in California. We toured the Sonoma Valley Vine district and went to a few Wineries and enjoyed picnic lunches along the way. we made our way to the Pacific Coast and Mendocino County. Paul & JAne found two great places for us to stay along the beautiful California coast line. One was called The Timber Cove Inn set high above the rock cliffs with spectacular views and another in Ft. Bragg was called The Beachcomber Inn. We ate at great reataurants in quiet sea side towns, played a card game called "Hickey", fed the Seagulls from the hotels terrace and watched the sun set on the Pacific Ocean.

There is a Sea Lion on the rock below.

Getaway weekend in Las Vegas

Every January I spend about a wek in Las Vegas on business attending CES but it was a lot af fun to spend a long weekend with Frank in Las Vegas this fall. We saw the Cirque Du Soleil show about the Beatles called "Love" and we saw "Cher" at Cesars Palace. We enjoyed time by the pool at the Hilton ($39 a night) and shopped and dined the weekend away.

Wroxton England 2010

Wroxton College is kind of a home away from home for me. I spent one undergrad semester there a long time ago and have enjoyed returning to visit a dozen or so times. This summer I combined several days in London shopping (see my new fancy jacket below) and enjoying theater and night life. I saw the sequel to Phantom of the Opera called "Love Never Dies" which is headed to Broadway next year. I enjoyed meeting a great group of people who attended the "All Year Reunion" and while I missed Bette Madler from last year, it was fun to hang out at the North Arms with Brian Swanzey from FDU and to spend time with President Adams and his lovely wife Susan Adams. This year Yevette and John who met at Wroxton many years ago, renewed their Wedding Vows at the Wroxton Abbey and I took a real shining to their two beautiful daughters. A favorite activity at Wroxton College is an outdoor Pig Roast down by the lake.

Napa 2010

One tree that grows Oranges and Lemons. No I wasn't drunk (yeah right) The tree below is a Hybrid, half lemon...half orange. Ask Lisa, I jumped up and picked a lemon.

Frank calls it a Boon-Doggel, I call it a Brother Conference in Napa every June. No matter what you call it, it's a great week in Napa doing business, building customer relations, enjoying the beautiful Napa Valley scenery and occasionally a glass of wine! (Occasionally every 15 minutes)
